Cake Animation is owned by Belinda McArdle. Belinda has always enjoyed baking cakes however originally chose a different career path, completing a Bachelor of Commerce in Land Economics. Belinda was a Property Asset Manager with Woolworths Limited for 5 years before leaving to care for her children.
An overseas transfer for her husbands work to the United States of America in 2007 exposed Belinda to the wider world of cake decorating and thoughts of a career change. Whilst living in New York, Belinda completed the Wilton Method of cake decorating courses and also a Fondant and Royal Icing Course at The French Culinary Institute in New York City (now known as the International Culinary Centre).
Belinda is a regular competitor and multiple ribbon winner for her cakes and sugar art at the Sydney Royal Easter Show and local agricultural shows.
Belinda is also a member of the NSW Cake Decorator’s Guild, Golden West Branch.
